| Maintpartner becomes the main owner of Teollisuuden KPP Oy in Finland |
|
Maintpartner has signed an agreement to acquire the majority of Teollisuuden KPP Oy shares. KPP has focused on delivering expert maintenance services primarily to manufacturing and process industries and public sector. KPP also delivers services for machine and production line relocation and modification, crane service and measuring equipment calibration. The company employs approx. 80 people in Finland.
Acquisition follows Maintpartner's international growth strategy and is the first step for systematic expansion of the operations to the area of expert services. "During the spring we made a strategic decision to fulfil our service portfolio with expert services to support our maintenance and operations offerings. There is a clear demand for these services and in some cases the share of individual services within specific technical areas can become very significant", says Maintpartner Group CEO Tuomo Rönkkö. According to Tommi Kajasoja, head of Maintpartner Group's expert service business, "KPP acquisition provides to all Maintpartner countries a good platform to build up expert services business, and in Finland to expand the service portfolio to our current customers. For the first time we have now opportunity to offer ourselves services that we have been sourcing from third parties before. This strengthens our position as a provider for comprehensive service solutions." "For Teollisuuden KPP Oy strategic partnership with Maintpartner enables and fast tracks the expert service portfolio expansion and operations internationalisation", says Ari Alanen, managing director of Teollisuuden KPP Oy.
